Underlayment question

Q-We are thinking about installing Allen & Roth Lodge Oak 10mm with backing in our mobile home. At Lowe's they told us we did not need any underlayment because of the backing on the product. The man we are considering using for installing this product says we absolutely need to put down something between the subfloor and the laminate. Who is correct? We are in TN and spoke to the clerk in TN; however, the home is in FL. thanks for any advice you can give me.

A-I have installed laminate with attached padding directly over the sub floor in mobile homes. If it were on a concrete slab the only other thing you would need is a vapor barrier. I haven't had any problems going directly over the sub floor with attached padding on laminate flooring.
