Installing a threshold over a 4" gap from a tile kitchen floor to the edge of a sunken Living room

Q-We installed a laminate floor in a sunken living room and now are dealing with how to finish each doorway. The kitchen tile is crooked and it would take 4" of something to span the gap and create a stair nose with a quarter round fastened to the bottom protruding edge. We can't find any existing material to do this.

A-Based on your photo I can't understand what your saying. It looks like the tile doesn't reach the edge of the drop down. If thats the case you would need to find some tile to reach the edge.

That is easier said than done, as matching tile is hard to do sometimes.

If you could provide more photos from different angles it would give me a better idea of your situation.
