Pergo Laminate ProductsIn 1977, Pergo created the idea for laminate flooring and the product was introduced to the European market in 1984. In the late 1980s and early 1990s Pergo began to expand its flooring operations throughout Europe. Pergo was introduced in the U.S. in January 1994. In 1995 Raleigh, North Carolina was selected for Perstorp Floorings U.S. headquarters and Garner, North Carolina for the manufacturing facility. Today Pergo is one of the largest producers of laminate flooring in the world.
AccoladePergo Accolade is 8mm thick and comes with a 2mm pad attached to the back. This makes the planks a total of 10mm thick. Most often when purchasing a laminate with attached padding you will also need to purchase an additional moisture barrier to lay down first on the concrete slab. You don't normally need a moisture barrier on an above grade wooden floor unless you have excess moisture underneath.
